Yasuní is not considered a seasonal forest because no month during the year has an average rainfall of less than 100 mm (3.9 in). However, there is a pattern of precipitation characterized by two peaks: the largest in May (average=394 mm [15.5 in]) and the second, less pronounced in October (average= 243 mm [9.5 in]).
